Ukrainian refugees arrive in Donegal

Sixty Ukrainian refugees arrived in Bundoran yesterday evening, with about 100 more expected to come later.

Local people welcomed them to the town following their arduous journey from Ukraine, having left homes, family and friends behind.

It’s expected some of the refugees will take part in tomorrow’s St Patrick’s Day Parade in Bundoran, which will have a special Ukrainian section.

Local people and parade spectators are asked to give the Ukrainian arrivals a rousing welcome to the town.

Among those who welcomed the Ukrainians to Bundoran last night was local man Matt Britton.

Matt Britton also spoke to the Ukrainians on their arrival in Bundoran.
