Residents encouraged to take part in ‘Operation Ballyshannon’

Ballyshannon residents are encouraged to take part in Saturday’s ‘Big Spring Clean’.

‘Operation Ballyshannon’ begins at 10am tomorrow morning with people asked to meet at the library where gloves, bags, Hi-Vis jackets and refreshments will be supplied.

Organised by the Ballyshannon Regeneration Group, the clean up had to be paused for the last two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Fine Gael Councillor, Barry Sweeney, is asking people to bring along a brush, spade or tool of choice to help ‘spruce up’ Ireland oldest town.
