Fermanagh MLA says apology will be significant for victims of institutional abuse

A Fermanagh/South Tyrone MLA says ‘it’s only right’ that Victims of historical institutional abuse in Northern Ireland will receive a long-awaited public apology next month.

There had been fears it might not be able to, in the absence of an Executive.

With the First and Deputy First Ministers no longer in post, the apology on the 11th of March will now be delivered by a group of other ministers from the main parties.

A minute’s silence will also be held for the victims who’ve passed away without seeing this moment.

Fermanagh/South Tyrone MLA, Jemma Dolan says the apology will be hugely significant for the victims.
