A Sligo Leitrim TD is claiming that trust in the Gardai has been damaged by the 999 call cancellation controversy
The Garda Commissioner will give an update on the issue later.
Drew Harris is appearing before the Policing Authority to outline the actions taken by An Garda Siochana to address the situation.
Last year it was revealed thousands of 999 calls were cancelled or went unanswered, and an independent report into the practice is expected shortly.
