Irish Cancer Conference to be held in Donegal this Saturday



The Irish Cancer Society, in conjunction with Relay for Life Donegal, will hold their biannual conference this Saturday.

It will take place in the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny from 10am to 1pm.

The theme of the conference will be ‘Remember, You Are Not Alone’ and will highlight the supports and services available. to cancer patients.

Among the speakers will be Ballyshannon man Paul McLoone who will talk about his cancer journey that involved several diagnoses, and he will highlight the importance of not being alone.

Sligo-based counsellor Joan Burke will talk about coping with cancer during Covid and beyond.

Also at the conference, a new school/teacher support programme will be launched which is being piloted by the Irish Cancer Society in Donegal before going nationwide.

The conference is free to attend but registration is essential.
