ATM Machine to be installed in Ballymote

The south Sligo town of Ballymote is getting a new 24-hour ATM machine.

It follows the closures of two bank branches in the town and the removal of their ATMs.

An ATM is available inside a local business but is not accessible on a 24-hour basis.

Now, a new exterior teller machine has been installed in the wall of the offices of Ballymote Credit Union, located on the top of The Rock in the town which, coincidently, had once been the home of the Ulster Bank branch.

Local Fine Gael Councillor Dara Mulvey has been paying tribute to Ballymote Credit Union for providing the new ATM which, he said, will be welcomed by people in the town and surrounding area.
