A Sligo Councillor says the death of a woman at Moneygold between Grange and Cliffoney last night is further evidence that the immediate upgrading of the N 15 is need.
The woman believed to be in here 40’s killed on stretch of road where three other people have lost their lives previously.
Gardaí at Sligo are appealing for witnesses following the fatal traffic collision which took place between 10 p.m. and 10.30 last night.
The female pedestrian in her early 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is believed the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
Garda examinations of the scene are ongoing today.
