Gardai asking motorists to obey N15 diversions after fatal accident



Gardai are asking motorists to avoid the scene of a fatal traffic accident that occurred last night on the N15 at Moneygold, in north Sligo.

Traffic in the area is backed-up at present and diversions are in place.

The scene has been preserved for examination by scenes of crimes officers and Garda forensic collision investigators.

With the temporary closure of the N15 at Moneygold, Grange, following a fatal accident Tuesday evening, Sligo County Council has pointed out that the following diversions are in place:

In relation to traffic travelling from Sligo, Sligo County COuncil says HGV’s are being diverted at Rathcormac while cars will be diverted at Grange village

For traffic coming from Bundoran direction, HGV’s will be diverted via Kinlough and Manorhamilton with cars diverted at Creevykeel via Ballintrillick and Munninane

Meanwhile, Ballyshannon gardai point out that the Tullaghan road towards Sligo coming from Donegal is closed.

They say traffic is diverted at Rogers Filling station towards Kinlough and must go via Manorhamilton.

All HGV’s travelling on the Bundoran bypass towards Sligo are diverted at the Kinlough Slipway at Drumacrin and must travel via Manorhamilton.

Gardai ask that all motorists comply with the gardai’s diretions.
