Gardaí are carrying out further searches in the Skreen/Dromard area this morning in relation to the recent aggravated burglary on Tom Niland.
The 73-year-old remains on life support in hospital after being viciously attacked by three masked men in his home in Skreen on January 18th.
Motorists are asked to reduce their speed along the N59 around the areas between Doonflynn, Dromore West and the route heading towards Lough Easkey for the safety of those searching.
Gardai say they’re following specific lines of enquiry into the attack.
Superintendent Mandy Gaynor says locations of interest are being searched today.
