A major drugs pandemic that is destroying families and communities is currently impacting on every town and village in the north west.
A meeting of the Joint Policing Committee in Leitrim on Monday next will hear calls for it to contact the Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee TD to instigate a media campaign to highlight the stark reality of drug abuse.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Justin Warnock is calling for action to be taken.
