619 new cars were registered in Donegal last month compared to 604 in January last year.
102 new cars were registered in Leitrim, two fewer than in January 2021.
In Sligo, there were 277 new cars registered last month, 22 more than in the January a year previously.
Nationally, new car registrations for January were down slightly.
New electric car registrations reached their highest monthly record with 2,714 registered in January — compared to 977 in January 2021.
