Women in Sligo are afraid to walk alone at night.
That’s according to Sligo Town resident, Janet Jinks who is an organiser of a protest walk taking place at Town hall on Saturday next February 5th at 3pm.
A poll in the Business Post found 37% of women aged between 18 and 34 experienced some form of sexual harassment in public last year.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Janet Jinks says women should be able to walk without having to look over their shoulders.
