Carbury FC regain Super League top spot

Defending champions Carbury FC are back on top of the Southern Hotel Super League, at least for 48 hours, following Friday night’s 4-0 win at Ballisodare United.

Goals from Mark McGoldrick (2) Ross McLoughlin and the league’s leading scorer Jason Lyons moved Carbury to the summit of the table on 38 points, one point clear of Cartron United (37 pts) who play Cliffoney Celtic this Sunday morning in Mullaghmore (11am).

Ballisodare, who reached the last 16 of the Connacht Junior Cup last weekend following a 3-2 win against Cartron, remain in mid-table on 19 points.

Carbury are trying to win their fourth consecutive Super League title in the Sligo/Leitrim junior soccer league.
