87 waiting for a bed and 29 Covid-19 patients in the north west



There are 87 people waiting for admission to the north west’s two main hospitals today and 29 people are receiving treatment for Covid-19.

57 are waiting on trolleys or chairs in Letterkenny University Hospital making it the second most overcrowded once again.

A further 30 people are waiting in Sligo University Hospital out of a national total of 532 according to the latest Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s Trolley Watch.

There are 15 people receiving treatment for Covid-19 in Letterkenny and 14 in Sligo according to the latest HSE data.

One patient in each hospital is also in the ICU with the virus.

711 people are in an Irish Hospital with Covid-19, 74 of whom are in the ICU.
