Sligo man is new chairman of InterTrade Ireland

A Sligo man has been appointed the new chairman of InterTrade Ireland, a cross-border trade and economic development body that promotes prosperity across the island.

He’s Richard Kennedy from Aclare, in south Sligo, who began his career growing up on the family-owned livestock mart in Aclare.

He is now chief executive of Belfast-based Devenish Nutrition, an agri-tech firm that has grown from a company focused on the Northern Ireland market to an international research, development and innovation business trading in more than 40 countries.
