Sinn Féin increase the pressure on Education Minister

A Donegal TD says his office has been inundated with calls from concerned Leaving cert students in relation to how this year’s exam will be staged.

The comments from Deputy Padraig Mac Lochlainn were made as the Minister for Education is about to come under further pressure today with Sinn Fein tabling a motion calling on the government to introduce a hybrid Leaving Certificate exam.

The party says it’s unacceptable that a decision has still not been made in relation to this year’s exam.

Deputy McLochlainn says Minster Norma Foley must provide a choice for this year’s leaving cert class between calculated grades and written examinations.
