With Covid restrictions gone, bishop asks people to be considerate of others

With Covid restrictions now lifted, the Bishop of Elphin is asking people to be sensitive to the concerns and needs of others, saying not all people will be immediately comfortable with close contacts.

Speaking during Mass in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Sligo yesterday, Bishop Kevin Doran said it’s important to realise that people will adapt at different paces to the new situation.

Bishop Doran also said there was now a sense of celebration with the lifting of restrictions.

And he paid tribute to all those who helped reach this point.
