Donegal into McKenna Cup semi-final after Antrim win



Donegal gaelic footballers are through to the McKenna Cup semi-finals following Saturday’s 0-15 to 1-9 victory over Antrim in their final Section A match, played in Portglenone.

Paddy McBrearty scored seven points in a match which saw competitive returns to action for Michael Murphy and Jamie Brennan, both of whom were introduced as second-half substitutes.

 

The semi-finals will be played on Tuesday evening (Jan 18th) at 7:45pm.

Donegal’s prize as Section A winners is a home semi-final against Rory Gallagher’s Derry in Ballybofey.

Armagh’s win against All-Ireland champions Tyrone on Saturday means they will host Monaghan at the Athletic Grounds on Tuesday night.
