Visiting restrictions remain in place at Sligo University Hospital



Visiting remains restricted at Sligo University Hospital due to the significant pressure caused by the high number of Covid-19 cases.

Visiting restrictions were implemented on Wednesday the 5th of January with the aim of remaining for a week, this has now been extended and will be reviewed an ongoing basis.

People will be allowed to visit on compassionate grounds with people needing to arrange a visit by contacting the ward manager in advance.

While there are separate arrangements in place with the maternity department with nominated support partners.

They can continue to attend for all scans, induction of labour and all deliveries and emergency presentations with visiting curtailed to two hours per day between 6pm and 8pm.
