Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnois to be installed as new Archbishop of Tuam



The former bishop of the catholic diocese of Ardagh and Clonmacnois Francis Duffy will be installed as the new Archbishop of Tuam on Sunday afternoon next.

He succeeds Archbishop Michael Neary who was appointed Archbishop of Tuam in January 1995.

Ardagh and Clonmacnoise covers most of counties Longford and Leitrim, as well as parts of a number of other counties, including Sligo and Cavan.

The Archdiocese of Tuam contains parts of counties Mayo, Galway and Roscommon, and includes the major pilgrimage centres of Knock Shrine and Croagh Patrick.
