TD and former teacher says schools need clear answers from Minister, her department and HSE



A Sligo/Leitrim TD and former school teacher says principals and boards of management need to be told exactly what supports are available to them as they prepare to reopen this morning after the Christmas holidays.

Independent Deputy Marian Harkin said schools are being asked to reopen today at what is a very uncertain time without support and assistance being available 24/7.

Deputy Harkin says Education Minister Norma Foley has promised assistance to schools but it was known at times in the past that support was not always forthcoming.

She has been telling Ocean FM News what schools need from the Minister, her department and the HSE.
