A major extension has been approved for a County Leitrim secondary school.
Education Minister Norma Foley has given the go-ahead for 11 extra rooms, including new classrooms, for Drumshanbo Vocational School, making it one of the biggest campuses in Leitrim.
Chairman of the school board of management, Cllr Enda McGloin, explained that the exact funding amount will be held back to allow a competitive tendering process take place.
However, Cllr McGloin says it will be significant investment for the school, the town of Drumshanbo and the surrounding area.
