ITs in Sligo, Letterkenny at forefront of New Frontiers business development



Details of the latest in an effort to promote business development in the north west have been announced.

The initiative, known as New Frontiers North West, is is now recruiting for Phase 1 of a 3-phase programme that will start in January.

New Frontiers is Ireland’s largest entrepreneur development programme, with 14 programmes running across 16 locations nationwide.

The New Frontiers North West programme is delivered jointly by IT Sligo and Letterkenny IT and provides access to a range of supports.

These include co-working in a campus incubator at IT Sligo or Letterkenny IT, 1-to-1 mentoring from start-up experts, business master-classes and networking with potential investors plus €15,000 in financial support to accelerate the business start-up.

Funded by Enterprise Ireland, IT Sligo and Letterkenny IT will spend almost €2m over the next five years on the New Frontiers Programme, supporting entrepreneurs to deliver 70 new companies in the North-West Region.

Thirteen new start-ups have recently commenced Phase 2 of the New Frontiers programme being jointly delivered through IT Sligo and Letterkenny IT.
