Border Community Group confident that Truss will be balanced in Brexit negotiations

Britain’s foreign secretary will speak to the European Commission Vice President about post-Brexit difficulties between Britain and Northern Ireland later.

It’ll be the first time Liz Truss will lead negotiations following the resignation of Brexit minister David Frost on Sunday.

Ahead of talks, Truss says she wants a comprehensive solution for all.

A representative of the Border Communities against Brexit group has given a guarded welcome to the appointment of  Liz Truss as the lead negotiator with the EU on the Northern Ireland Protocol.

Speaking to OceanFM News Damian McGenity says the reluctance of the British PM not to trigger article 16 could lad have to the Lord Frost resigning.

He also expressed confidence that the negotiator will be able to work closely with the EU.
