A number of drivers have been arrested in the past few days in the Sligo area for suspected drug and alcohol offences.
As part of ‘Operation Teorainn’, Sligo Roads Policing Unit stopped several vehicles in Tubbercurry and Collooney.
Roadside tests were carried out for alcohol and drugs.
There have been two arrests so far, with one driver failing for cocaine and another failing for alcohol.
Gardai will continue to have checkpoints throughout the Christmas period.
