Planning application for proposed Tubbercurry Lidl store appealed

The planning application for a new Lidl store in Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo has been appealed to An Bord Pleanála by Surlis’s Supervalu.

Sligo County Council approved the application at the beginning of November that Lidl Ireland Property Executive, Brian Smyth, said could create upwards of 35 new jobs and 80 more during construction.

It could take 6 to 9 months for a decision to be made.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Brian Smyth says they are disappointed to hear of the appeal but hopes An Bord Pleanála will agree with the local authority.
