Glencar/Manor’s Connacht final moved to Swinford

Glencar/Manorhamilton’s Connacht LGFA senior club football final this Sunday has a change of venue.

The game against holders Kilkerrin/Clonberne of Galway is being moved to Swinford as the original venue – Kilcoyne Park in Tubbercurry – has been deemed unplayable.

The south Sligo venue was inspected on Thursday and officials have decided to switch the final to county Mayo venue.

The throw-in time for Sunday’s decider, 1pm, remains unchanged.

The match will be broadcast live by Ocean FM Sport from 1pm and is also being streamed live by Connacht LGFA.

The Leitrim champions will be appearing in their first ever senior Connacht club final having won the 2020 provincial intermediate title.

However, they face a stern test from Kilkerrin/Clonberne, who have become the standard bearers in women’s club football in Connacht in recent years.

The Galway girls are bidding for their fourth Connacht SFC club title in a row.
