Vaccination clinic at Sligo racecourse is busy

The Saolta hospital group says the walk-in vaccination clinic at Sligo Racecourse for booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine for healthcare workers and people aged 60 to 69 is expected to be busy today and people are advised that they may be asked to come back later if the queue ahead of them is very long or if there is no car parking available.

The walk-in clinic is open until 8pm this evening.

Anyone who has already received a vaccine appointment for the coming days is asked to attend the appointment if possible, instead of coming to the walk-in clinic today.

The walk-in booster clinics are a further opportunity for people who are unable to make their scheduled appointments, to get their booster dose.

The Saolta statement says staff will be working hard to keep the queue moving and make sure that people waiting get their booster dose as quickly as possible.
