Kinlough Garda Station to be discussed at JPC meeting

Today’s joint policing committee meeting in Leitrim is expected to hear calls for the number of gardaí in Kilough garda station to  be restored to four gardaí and a sergeant.

Local Fianna Fail Councillor Justin Warnock has submitted a motion on the issue.

He is also looking for an update when refurbishment works that are due to take place at the station will commence.

Speaking to Ocean FM News Councillor Warnock says the population of Kinlough has increased significantly in recent times and as a result a fully manned operating garda station is needed in the village.
