No ICU beds available in Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospitals



There are no ICU beds available in both Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospital today according to the latest HSE data.

A total of 22 patients are receiving treatment for Covid-19 in the north west today.

There 13 Covid patients in Letterkenny University Hospital today and a further nine in Sligo University Hospital.

Six people, three in each hospital are in the ICU out of a national total of 132.

The number of Covid patients in hospital nationally has dropped below 600 for the first time in 11 days.

The figure has fallen to 598 as of this morning which is 13 less than yesterday.

Letterkenny is also the most overcrowded hospital in the country for the second day in a row according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s Trolley Watch.

58 people are waiting on a bed including one under the age of 16.

13 people are also waiting in Sligo today.
