Members of the Polish community held a vigil outside the residence of the Bishop of Elphin at the weekend, to protest at the removal of Polish priest, Fr. Stanislaw Kardas from the St Anne’s parish. They say 1,400 have now signed a petition requesting that Fr Stan be retained, with the Bishop since indicating his stay has been extended until next May
