Donegal GP warns new restrictions could be insufficient to stop Covid



A Donegal GP has expressed his concern that the latest restrictions introduced to try and halt the rising number of Covid -19 cases may not be enough.

 

The Taoiseach has already admitted that it’s not clear if new measures will be enough to reduce the Covid rates – and refused to rule out going further.

 

A curfew for the hospitality sector takes effect tomorrow while everyone will be asked to work from home from this Friday.

 

Plans are being finalised for cheaper antigen tests and for an expanded rollout of booster vaccines.
