A proposed scheme for mica affected homeowners may have a cap of up to €400,000. That’s according to media reports this morning. It’s also being speculated that the details of the scheme is set to go before cabinet on Tuesday week.
The Irish Times is claiming that ministers and officials are engaged in discussions on how to balance the final costs for those impacted. Items being discussed include the size of the cap on works, and if rental properties will be included in the scheme.

An industry levy to co-fund the cost of the scheme is also believed to be under discussion.
