A Sligo councillor is asking local TDs what they are doing about getting justice for the children who were abused, and some of whom died, in orphanages and mother and baby homes across the country.
Solidarity People Before Profit Councillor Gino O Boyle is making the calling following the broadcasting this week of the The Missing Children documentary on RTE and ITV.
The documentary tells the stories of some of the children who survived life at Tuam mother and baby home – and the search for the truth about what happened to those who disappeared.
Cllr O Boyle says it’s an issue that extends across the country, including Sligo.
