70 hospital patients in NW waiting for beds



Seventy hospital patients in the north west are waiting for beds today.

Forty-four of them are in Letterkenny University Hospital and 26 in Sligo University Hospital.

Only two hospitals have more patients waiting that in Letterkenny; they are University Hospital Galway with 47and University Hospital Limerick with 78.

Overall throughout the country today, there are 460 patients in hospitals waiting for beds. That includes 9 people under 16, who are waiting in emergency departments, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives TrolleyWatch figures.
