Donegal GP says checking of vaccine passports will encourage more to take jab

A Donegal GP is attributing the high Covid-19 vaccination rate in this country to the introduction of the introduction of vaccine passports.  Dr Ciáran O Fearraigh is warning however that the constant checking of the these passports will be the only way to encourage those that have not yet been vaccinated to receive the jab.

It’s emerged that Ireland continues to have the highest Covid vaccination rate in the European Union.

Over 92 per cent of adults are fully protected, which is just ahead of Malta and Portugal.

Bulgaria has the lowest rate in the EU, at just 26 per cent.

Donegal GP Ciarán Ó Fearraigh says the constant checking of vaccine passports may encourage those that have not yet received their Covid-19 vaccinations to get the jab.
