I.T. Sligo President Dr Brendan McCormack has described the creation of a new Technological University for the North West as a game changer when it comes to third level education and a watershed moment for the staff and students at IT Sligo.
Minister for Higher Education, Simon Harris confirmed the news yesterday following the successful application by IT Sligo, LYIT and GMIT, the multi campus University will encompass eight locations across Sligo, Donegal, Mayo and Galway.
