Another call for more gardai in rural areas



The Aontú leader says there needs to be a ‘radical increase’ in the number of gardai around the country.

Peader Tóibín will be speaking to hundreds of members and delegates at the party’s first Ard Fheis today.

It gets underway on Zoom at 1o’clock.

Deputy Tóibín’s comments follow a call in the Dail this week by Independent Deputy Thomas Pringle for the allocation of gardai to County Donegal to be proportionate to the size its population when compared to other counties.
