Children’s mica fears need to be heard

The latest rally and protest to highlight the Mica crisis in Donegal was staged on Wednesday last as those impacted campaigned  for a 100% redress scheme.

Children played in a central role in this most recent event as they through interviews and by writing letters outlined how living in Mica houses was impacting their lives.

It was an effective campaign that made many sit up and take notice but it also annoyed many that children were deployed to the protest.

Paddy Diver is a 100% redress campaigner and earlier explained to John Lynch on North West Today why the decision was taken to let the voices of the children be heard on the mica issue.
