Taoiseach to meet school pupils in Castlebaldwin today

During his visit to Castlebaldwin this afternoon for the official opening of the new N4, the Taoiseach will meet a number of pupils from the nearby Cloghogue National School.

Principal Aisling Tighe says it’s a big day for the school.

She also says the new road will result in a quieter safer road beside the school.

And with Castlebaldwin now only a 20-minutes drive from Sligo, she hopes more families and schoolgoing children will move into the area, an important consideration as the school is eager to see an increase in the number of pupils attending.
