Traffic concerns at Coola Post Primary School

Two Sligo councillors are calling for the county council to work with Coola Post Primary School to provide more parking space and an improved set-down area.

It’s as a result of more traffic, the increased number of school buses required because of Covid-19 regulations and the growing number of students attending the school.

Fine Gael Councillor Thomas Walsh and Fianna Fail Councillor Martin Baker are hoping that CLAR funding might be obtained for the work.

Cllr Baker says the area, which is near Taylor’s Cross on the R284 Sooey to Geevagh road, is becoming busier.
