2022 Trade War likely between UK and EU

A representative from the Border communities against Brexit has warned that if the European Court of justice is removed from having an overseeing role on the Brexit agreement then a trade war could take place between the EU and the UK.


The former Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern has also signaled today that a trade war of some description is likely to occur in 2022.


The British government will today demand radical changes to the Northern Ireland Protocol, during a speech to diplomats in Portugal.


Brexit Minister David Frost will say the European Court of Justice should no longer have an oversight role over the deal.


The agreement involves checks on goods coming from Britain to the North – and the EU is due to publish its solutions tomorrow.
