Coolera/Strandhill power into Sligo senior final



It’s Coolera/Strandhill’s turn to try and end Tourlestrane’s dominance in the Homeland Sligo senior football championship, following Sunday’s impressive 2-13 to 0-8 semi-final win over Drumcliffe/Rosses Point at Markievicz Park.

Coolera restricted their opponents – county finalists last year – to just a solitary score in the second half – as their pacy attack struck twice in the first half for two Donagh Flynn goals.

They will face holders Tourlestrane on October 24th – they needed extra-time to edge past Curry in Saturday’s semi-final on a final scoreline of 0-20 to 1-14.
