Sixty-five patients waiting for hospital beds in the North West



The north west is among the worst-hit areas in the country again today when it comes to the number of patients in hospitals waiting for beds.

Sixty-five are waiting in the region, made up of 39 in Letterkenny and 26 in Sligo.

35 of the patients in Letterkenny are in wards and elsewhere, with 4 in the emergency department.

In Sligo, there are 17 in the emergency department.

Overall throughout the country today, there are 451 people waiting for beds, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives TrolleyWatch figures.
