Immediate investment required for inadequate health service



A Sligo Leitrim TD is calling for immediate resources to be invested into the north west health service.

 

Deputy Martin Kenny was commenting after Sinn Fein launched their alternative health budget which called for calling for 828 new public hospital beds and 6,500 additional staff for the health service.

 

Letterkenny University Hospital had the second-highest number of people on hospital trollies yesterday with 52 waiting at one stage according to INMO figures.
