MEP fears Local Employment Service will become a box ticking exercise



The privatisation of Local Employment Services will lead to people being pushed into short-term jobs, which they are unsuitable for, so a profit can be made.

That’s the fear of Midlands/North West MEP, Chris MacManus, in response to government proposals to put employment services to tender.

The planned Regional Employment Service aims to replace existing Jobs Clubs and Local Employment Services.
