Letterkenny University Hospital dealing with high number of Covid and trolley patients



There has been a noticeable drop in the number of Covid-19 patients and those waiting on trolleys in Sligo University Hospital in recent days.

There are now 9 people receiving treatment for the virus, down from when it was the highest in the country a month ago with 21.

There are also seven people waiting for a bed in the hospital according to the latest Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation Trolley Watch figures.

Letterkenny University Hospital by comparison has continued to deal with a surge in Covid-19 patients and those waiting for a bed being among the worst hit nationally for both today.

The Donegal hospital has the third most patients with Covid with 22 while it is the fourth worst nationally when it comes to those waiting for a bed with 43 people.
