Glencar/Manor exit Leitrim championship



Glencar/Manorhamilton’s Leitrim senior football championship campaign for 2021 came to an abrupt end on Sunday as they were soundly beaten by Ballinamore Séan O Heslin’s in the quarter-final at Carrick-on-Shannon, on a final scoreline of 4-10 to 0-8.

The concession two goals either side of half-time proved critical as Ballinamore finally beat their so-called ‘bogey team’ in championship football in recent years.

Ballinamore boss Dom Corrigan spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s PJ Leddy after the win.

Sunday’s semi-final draw saw Leitrim Gaels who made history by beating Fenagh/St Caillin’s by four points on Sunday, paired with holders Mohill.

St Mary’s will face Seán O’Heslin’s in the other semi-final in two weekends time.
