A billion euro in EU Brexit funds for Ireland, hopes border region will benefit



The European Parliament has formally backed the Brexit Allocation Fund of 5 billion.

It had been agreed some months ago, but MEPs had not yet agreed on the exact allocation until now.

Ireland will be the largest beneficiary from the financial boost following the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union, with a billion euro.
