Rory Best ‘walks & talks’ for children for cancer



Former Ireland rugby captain Rory Best is walking 180 miles from Daisy Lodge in Co Down to the to the site of a proposed ‘new’ purpose-built therapeutic centre for children with cancer, located in Co Mayo.

On Monday, his walk took him through counties Leitrim and Sligo. He spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Austin O’Callaghan while stepping it out along the N16 Manorhamilton to Sligo road.

Planned arrival times in Sligo:
2.15pm – Regional Stores, Sligo
2.30pm – Sligo Grammar School
Rory will walk from Sligo Grammar School down the Mall and through Sligo town centre to Kingsbridge Hospital.
